Dr. Stanley Eng, Optometrist offers single and progressive digitally ground eyeglass lenses at our Nanaimo and Port Hardy offices, which provide better optics and less distortion. We also have free form lenses that use advanced technology to offer truly superior optics. If you are searching for glasses that fit into your work life, we have workplace-specific designs that are designed to stand up to your environment and meet your needs. You can also choose from thin lenses, which are lightweight but still durable. Many of our lenses are available with anti-reflection and UV-protective coatings to shield your eyes from harmful UV rays.

Light-Adaptive and Anti-Glare Lenses
The latest eyeglass technology can perfectly adapt to changes in sunlight, as well as reduce glare from computer screens, or headlights while driving at night. We are proud to carry Essilor Transitions® lenses, Xperio Transitions® lenses, and specially coated UV and glare protection lenses from Nikon® and Crizal®.

Blue-Violet Light
Blue-Violet light was recently identified as being harmful to retinal cells, causing long-term damage to your eyes. It can accelerate the onset of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). This vision loss can lead to central blind spots.

UV Rays
UV Rays are as dangerous to your eyes as they are to your skin. Excessive exposure over a lifetime accelerates eye aging and the onset of cataracts. This vision loss can result in the loss of colour vision and make sight cloudy.
